Debian GNU/Linux

I am a developer for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution. This means I create and maintain software packages for the Debian distribtion and all derivatives, such as Ubuntu.

The Debian Accounts manager accepted me in October 2002. I started by maintaining the beast which is galeon. This caused a huge amount of work since it was such a popular browser and all the users had bugs to report (even though most of them were just feature requests or rants. I picked up a few more packages along the way and soon started work on BugWatcher, while working upstream on Java-Gnome. I was really let down by the Debian project when they moved bug servers. My scripts for BugWatcher were broken and there was nothing I could do. At that point, I took a back seat in Debian, even orphaning a few packages. I’m hopefully about to come back though, by developing the new rewrite of BugWatcher, which should work with many BTSs, including debbugs.
